VFF2010 = Vail Film Festival 2010!!!

Hello.

First, I need to apologize for that boring and unrepresentative first sentence (yes, a sentence can be one word). This update deserves more excitement than that. Reboot.

HELLO!

The Vail Film Festival (VFF for short) two-thousand and ten (2010 for short) starts this Thursday in beautiful Vail, Colorado. But this year, because the festival has grown so large, it will also have many events that take place in Beaver Creek. What??? Yep, you heard (read) me right. Vail and Beaver Creek will be the host cities of this year(2010)'s VFF (V&BCFF? No, don't be ridiculous). And once again I will be there to cover all the fun (or as much as I can fit in (35% of all the fun (because this festival is just that huge!)))!

I'll be staying at the Vail Plaza Hotel and shuttling to Beaver Creek as often as necessary (daily, I'd presume).

This year's festival will be screening over 90 films from April 1-4, 2010. Don't believe me? Think I'm a total liar? Well, here's the schedule, SeƱor Neysayer! Say ney no mas!

Oh, but it's not just going to be about seeing awesome films and skiing (I forgot to mention skiing, but I hope you made a correct assumption that while in Vail, skiing happens (not for me, as I am rubbish on skis)), it's also about cool celebrities and music and awards and panels and competitions. Go back to the last paragraph and revisit the schedule. You won't be sorry!

So, who will be there? Besides me? How about this guy ...
Zach Braff
And these two:
Terence Beesley
Ashley Jensen
 And this musician fellow:
Cary Brothers

And a ton of other awesome people, like: Patrick Warburton! Jane Seymour! Dennis Haysbert! Others!

Plus, a couple friends of mine, who I've known for around 20 years, have a short film screening in the Shorts 3 program on Friday, so go see that. It's called Path Lights.

I'm also going to be working on doing a couple Portroidcasts while there, so subscribe now in iTunes so you don't miss out the second they go up. Who knows who will agree to an interview. Let's hope it's lots of fun people.

So, after all that, I hope you bought a ticket to Vail and got your festival passes and that I see you there!

See you there!
Rick
